Insecto-motive is an MTA Art Card, which creates a scene of multiple bugs riding on the back of a caterpillar train. Art Cards are long horizontal pieces that are typically placed in the frames above seating on the MTA. This piece is an interpretation of how it is to ride on the subway in a whimsical manner with bug passengers.
This piece is made from cut paper. All patterns and markings were made from using markers or creating textures through indentations.
Insecto-motive is a solo piece made in conjunction with the Toy Avenue series but separates in its theme and content.
